As I'm getting ready for trip, I double check all safety equipment required. I check my flares, etc. and find them expired! So, new safety equipment was acquired.
Glad you checked your safety equipment. Didn't think flares could go out of date. By the way, how does one dispose of out of date flares? Seems like there must be some trick to that.
I think the disposal trick is taking them to the local fire department. Others simply keep them. Expiration doesn't necessarily mean they won't work! when in an emergency, I'd want to still have those "extras..." so, they're still on hand.
living the life of your dreams is a lot like sailing
You pick your destination, hoist up your sail, make minor adjustments while the journey is underway, and let the wind do all the hard work. In other words, imagine the end result, do what little you can, make minor adjustments while the journey is underway, and let me blow your mind. Phe-e-e-e-e-e-e-w! The Universe
